When do you start decorating for Christmas?

My family is having a debate as to when "most people" start to decorate for Christmas. Ive started already yesterday with just a few things and may do my tree the day after Thanksgiving. When do you all start?|||2 weeks before christmas, then I take it down the day after new years, any longer than that and it's overkill, lol|||Hiya!

We deck the halls fa-la-la-la-la on Christmas Eve, and leave it up for 12 days (ish) We both work full time, but make sure we get xmas eve off, so its really nice - relatives pop round for a glass of mulled wine (or fosters!) and its a nice chilled out event.

:)|||14th-15th december :]]]] merry christmas x|||We put ours up 2nd sunday in december and take them down week after new years day.|||Right after Hanukah and just before Kwanza.|||right after Thanksgiving :)|||a couple of days after Thanksgiving and then we take it down like 2 days after Christmas |||dec 1st, we get the tree around the 19th|||I start to decorate when it first starts snowing. When it starts to snow, I get in the Christmas spirit and start to do some decorating. This usually includes everything but the tree. I put up the window-cling decorations, wall hangings, set up the christmas town, bake christmas sugar cookies, and other odd and ends. My husband and I break out the christmas tree either the weekend before or after Thanksgiving depending on our mood and if we are staying home for Thanksgiving or not.

Most of the time, some sort of christmas decoration will be up either just before or right after Halloween depending on when it decides to actually snow. Back in 2006, I had some Christmas stuff up on October 14th when we got about 2 inches of snow (when it started to look alot like Christmas, LOL!)
