How can i convince my dad to get a real Christmas tree this year?

Okay so me and my mom were going to Lowe's and we decided to take a peek at their christmas trees just to have fun. And I don't know how this came about but we want a real tree this year. The only problem is we have 2 convince my dad to get one. So what are some good reasons 2 get a real tree? Any tips what can I do?? I have never had a real Christmas tree in my 12 years of life!!|||Well real Christmas trees are a lot cheaper than fake ones, and by buying it from a local tree lot you would be helping out a local business instead of a big chain such as Lowe's, and that is neccessary in this economy. Make sure to tell that to your dad. Also tell him how much you have always wanted one and how you just want to be able to smell the pine of a real tree every day when you come home from school. Going to pick out a christmas tree is a great family bonding time and you will make memories that last a life time. Hope I helped and merry christmas!|||Hi

Rreal Christmas trees have a wonderful scent. They smell like Christmas. The limbs are fuller and you won't have a plastic pole poking through the limbs. The tree won't have a plastic appearance.

The branches are easier to decorate than the sometimes thicker branches of artificial trees. Since the branches are attached to the tree, you won't have the frustration of trying to match color coded branches to little slots.

Real Christmas trees are easier to take down and get out of your home. When the season is over, you can bag your real Christmas tree and many cities have a recycling program where used Christmas trees are turned into mulch, thus helping the environment.

With artificial Christmas trees, you have to remove each branch by section and make sure they're labeled. Then you have to store them in boxes or plastic containers so that the branch tips won't break off. Once you get it packed away, everything has to be lugged into storage or the attic. There are positives and negatives to either choice. You just have to decide which is the best choice.

Hope that helps!

Take care

Paul|||1. They smell really good!

2. There are many places that are selling live Christmas trees that will put your donation to good use (ex: our local high school is selling Xmas trees to fund the school sports). Find one near you and maybe that will help convince your dad?

3. It's only once a year, and you could get a smaller one so that it won't cost as much.

4. Now that you are older you can really appreciate a good, live Christmas tree and build memories.

Hope this helps!|||O hmy goodnesss . Girl im in the exact same probleme . My family has this lowsey and old fake tree we have used every year since i was just a baby . ( im 12 too ) and I am tryig to convince my dad to get a real one . They smell amazing , but the only problem is they take a lot of work because the needles fall off and you have to sweep them up . Tell your dad that you will be incharge of the sweeping and watering it . .. if he dosent have to do any of the work then there is no way he will say no :)

Hope this helps ... i think i may try this too .
