My husband and I want to start a tradition of hosting a family Christmas party every year in December but since we've never done this before, we're unsure of what activities and whatnot to do. We've been considering a cookie exchange, but would like other ideas too :)|||gift exchange|||Depending on your family, you could have a cocktail contest. It really makes the whole night a blast, cause you make the cocktails throughout the evening, and everyone tries their hand at bar tending. Last year we did red or green drinks, but the winner actually combined the colors to make a red and green layered drink (it tasted like nyquil but it looked cool).|||Lighting a fire in the fireplace, serve hot cocoa, cookies, %26amp; anything tasty.
I also would suggest playing christmas songs and maybe make some Figgy Pudding.
