How do i root a christmas cactus clipping?

I got a clipping from a flowering christmas cactus. Do I stick them in water or soil. Any other tips?|||I just stick in soil and wait. They don't like a lot of water, (water from the bottom, prefer a North facing window, I put mine outside after it's over 60 out, and remember they will not bloom is they are not root bound. Mine blooms at Easter, my mothers are started to blossom now.|||I'm pretty sure you just stick it in soil...I do believe they are supposed to be in a dark climate for 6months out of the year...my boss has one and I water it once a week and it has been alive for about 25 years he says!
