What to wear to a hispanic christmas party?

Tomorrow night I am going on a date to a hispanic Christmas party. My date wants to teach me how to salsa and such. But I have no clue what to wear. Help!|||Well im dominican and we usually dress up for party's but not in an obnoxious way in a cute way... idk how to explain it right i guess.
